Altogether 242 peer-reviewed articles were published in 2023.
Of the articles published, 238 were JuFo*-ranked. The Research Center again demonstrates excellent results, as over a quarter of the JuFo-ranked publications in 2023 belong to highest class (class 3). For comparison, on the national level only about 8% of publications 2022 in the health and medical sciences belonged to class 3.
*The JuFo Publication Forum (JulkaisuFoorumi) is a classification of publication channels created by the Finnish scientific community to support the quality assessment of academic research.
Below you can find the full list of publications in both programs. Some highlights of our publications – reflecting the diversity of our research – are summarized in this annual report.
Eleven doctoral students – ten from the University of Helsinki and one from Tampere University – defended their doctoral theses. Seven of the dissertations were from the Genetics Research Program and four from the Public Health Research Program. Ten master theses were successfully completed.
